I purchased your book last week and just finished reading it. It was excellent and I am proud of all you overcame in your life. Unfortunately, and unlike many readers of your book, I was not shocked by the abuse you suffered at the hands of your mother...I had a similar one. Unlike you, I have never found it within me to forgive...when she died, it affected me less than it would have had I seen a stranger die. Catherine, I wish you many years of peace and happiness with your family. N.

Your book was so beautiful and inspiring. It came at exactly the right time in my life and reminded me to never settle for a comfort zone, and always be true to yourself. Thank you for writing it.

Catherine, I read your book in an evening I loved it - you reminded me to follow spirit and to hold a place inside that is forever strong. It was sad to read about your childhood but inspiring to see how your faith helped you transcend your past and have a wonderful life.
Thank you for writing it - I do read all the 'rock memoirs' and I like them but your book was so much more than that - you are an inspiration.

I couldn't get enough of your book.
I loved it so much.
I'm a huge fan of the 60's rock era so I was fascinated by all of your adventures.
I'm a huge fan !
Thank you so much for writing your memoirs :)

I'm reading your book right now and it's wonderful. I know what it's like to hang with those rockers. My brother was the lead guitar player in Alice Cooper. He passed away in 1997 from pneumonia. We have had several memorials for him and once had one at the Whisky. We rented the place out for a night and had a great time. Of course, we stayed at the "Riot House." Even Miss Pamela showed up at the Rainbow. I'm sad I wasn't there to meet her.
Take care and good luck.

It's incredibly interesting to find another Catherine James that has risen to prominence over the years, an author of a memoir no less! I plan on purchasing your book in order to fully learn the exploits of another who shares my name. But I concede that you had first dibs to it, as I'm only 17 years of age. Interesting indeed.

Read your book and was very moved by your survival from craziness and abuse. I get to hear people's stories since I am an attorney and do family law-- so much horror out there you wonder how people make it. Also thought it was very well written, so I hope you put out more books and articles.

In my opinion, Dandelion: A 70’s Memoir is eminently more readable than similar books of this genre. It is truly a chronicle of one of the most interesting periods in pop history and recounts a lifestyle many of us shared that will never again be repeated. Your writing style is clean and straightforward with an honesty and emotional impact that left me longing for more. Now I realize that there are many layers to the life of the Catherine James I knew 30 years ago. You are a remarkable woman with a remarkable story and I’m glad you found the wisdom and strength to record it for posterity.
